John 10:7-15
Identity theft is defined as the fraudulent acquisition and use of a person's private identifying information.
Our spiritual identity is just as important as our physical identity. It saves your soul from being stolen by the devil by trusting the Lord and never doubting His plans for you. The spirit of Identity theft started in the Garden Eden with the serpent deceiving Eve about who she was. The serpent tempted Eve to pick a fruit from the Tree of Knowledge and talked Adam into eating it with her. A lot of us has experienced the same thing Eve has. We’re unable to recognize whose we really are in Christ so we walk around here pretending to be someone else. Like today’s con artists and hackers. Satan’s actions were motivated by discontent, jealousy, and envy. His tactics were based in lies, pretense, and deception. His goal was simple, to destroy the confidence that Adam and Eve had in their identity, today he comes to destroy the confidence we have as children of the Most High God. You see the devil used trickery and deception to attack their personal identity and relationship with God by causing them to doubt God’s love for them. Because they believed Satan’s lie’s more than God’s promises, they disobeyed God and ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. In this one act of disobedience the fate of mankind was changed forever. Satan even used the same tactic on Jesus twice when he tried to tempt Him in the wilderness. Satan will always attack our identity in Christ first; to try and get us to question who and whose we are.
I come by today to encourage and remind each of you, in Christ, we can live the life God intended for us to have. We have Identity Theft Protection. As children of God, as long as we trust in God and in His Word, we have automatic identity theft protection. With Christ, your identity and password are safe, secure and never need to be reset. What is the password? It‘s simple and easy to remember: JESUS DID IT ALL! Be bless and I love you!!! JE
