Luke 24:6-7
Risen is defined as restored from death; ascended into glory; get up; increase; grow; develop; advance; progress.
No matter what we face today, what we’ve been through or what uncertainties tomorrow may hold, Christ is risen and is our Hope. He conquered death, He makes all things new. He breathes new life, so that we can live…free. You can try to bury Power, but it won’t stay there. You can try to bury Truth, but it is not dead. You can try to bury Love, but it cannot be contained. Jesus is not dead. And we’re not alone. Not ever. He lives! Jesus was arrested, tried and found guilty of claiming to be a king. His body was hung on a cross between two thieves. After his death, Jesus’ body was wrapped in linen cloths and placed in a tomb with a large stone rolled across the opening. On the third day, an early Sunday morning, Mary Magdalene and another Mary came to the tomb and found it empty. Sitting on the rolled away stone was an angel of the Lord who told them to not be afraid because Jesus had risen. As the women left to tell the disciples, Jesus Christ met them and showed them his nail-pierced hands.
I come by this evening to let you know,”He Has Risen.” Without the resurrection, the belief in God's saving grace and mercy through Jesus is void. When Jesus rose from the dead, he proved his divinity as the Son of God and his works of atonement, redemption, reconciliation, and salvation. The resurrection was a real, physical raising of Jesus’ body from the dead. Be bless and I love you!!! JE
