Romans 12:6-8
Gifts is defined as a present; any thing given or bestowed; reward; as to show favor toward someone.
Each of us receives gifts and talent from God. When it comes to our gifts, we must take time to thank God for giving us the abilities. God picked out specific skills for us to share with the world in order to point back to Him as our creator. My question today is, “Are you using your gifts for God’s glory?” God gives us gifts and talents for important reasons and purposes. In Exodus 35:30-35 describes Bezalel as a man filled “with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and understanding, in knowledge and all manner of workmanship to design artistic works, to work in gold and silver and bronze, in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of artistic workmanship.” It was no accident that Bezalel was such a skilled craftsman; God had a special plan for his talents. Bezalel and other gifted artisans used their abilities to fashion all of the elements needed for the tabernacle. The tabernacle was a large tent structure that served as God’s meeting place with His people during that time in history. The craftsmen used their artistic skills to make important elements like the ark of the Covenant, the table of showbread, the golden lampstand, the altar of incense, the altar of burnt offering, the bronze laver, and the priestly garments that were to be used inside the tabernacle.
I come by this evening to let you know God wants us to use the talents we have for His glory. We may feel like our gift is nothing spectacular, but in reality, it is crucial to the fulfillment of God's plan. Be bless and I love you!!! JE
