Romans 12:3-6
Embrace is defined as to take or clasp in the arms; press to the bosom; hug; cover; take advantage of; accommodate.
A rock-solid understanding of our identity in Christ is essential to living our life in the way He intended. Who Does Jesus Say we are? Jesus has plenty to tell us about our identity. He wants us to know we can always turn to Him to lean on. We can depend on His exquisite love regardless of what we look like, say or do. Jesus is so completely dependable that there is no situation He can’t walk us through. He always is available to listen to our thoughts, dreams, needs and struggles. Jesus wants to give us direction and guidance in all aspects of our life. Jesus deeply roots His Holy Spirit within us; we cannot change it, and He never leaves. Hurricane force trials don’t pull Him out of our lives. The voices of our world may overwhelm and discourage us. We may retreat from Him. But our identity in Him remains- and sometimes we just need a reminder.
I come by this evening to let you know we must come out the shadows and embrace our true identity. We are more than enough! Stop allowing the enemy to tell you those lies. God created us for more! And when we believe in Him we get to step into our new identity. Our true identity. In 2 Corinthians 5:17 it says, “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.” Be bless and I love you!!! JE
Amen
