“Lord Give Us The Momentum To Keep Going Forward”

Hebrews 12:1-2

Momentum is defined as force or speed of movement; impetus; push; power; strength; drive; force.

When we’re losing our passion to serve or to be a laborer in the work of God, look to Jesus. We must stay biblical focus at all times. We must lay aside all these weights; (1)relational burden - We pour ourselves into helping others, and six months later they quit. To go forward for the Lord, we have to let go of the disappointments of the past. (2)emotional burden - A lot of people serve the Lord with an “if,” and when that “if” isn’t met, it will become a weight and (3) comparison burden - If we measure our success by others, we will be weighted down with either pride or discouragement. Be a quick forgiver and don’t be so quick to end relationships. We don’t see results immediately, it’s in God’s timing. Patience is a virtue. Make a commitment to finish, the prize goes to the faithful. Philippians 3:13-14 says, “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

I come by this morning to let someone know we must not go through the motions of ministry without a hunger for God’s presence. No goal is worth reaching without God. Amen!!! Keep your momentum and keep moving forward to see what the end is going to be. We have to be all in for Jesus. Stop straddling the fence and come to Jesus wholeheartedly. Be bless and I love you!!!
