Galatians 6:7-10
Seed is defined as beginning; source; potential; trust; hope; nourishment.
A seed carries within itself new life. It has to be buried before it can bring forth that new life. A seed is a very small thing, compared to the plant and the harvest it produces. The parable of the mustard seed points this out. The mustard seed was the smallest seed, but it grew into a huge plant. Jesus teaches that although the Kingdom of God started small, with Jesus and the disciples, it would grow and spread across the world to unlimited numbers of followers. Joseph saves the people of Egypt from a famine by advising them to plant plenty of seed in order to store grain for use in a future drought. Also, the growth of seed, watered by rain and nurtured by the sun, both of which God was believed to be providing, is seen as showing the goodness of God. The seed will grow well, the ground will produce its crops and the heavens will drop their dew. The seed is faithful and reliable in doing what God meant it to do, when it is sown. Growth begins with the sowing of seed. That is true in the vegetable kingdom of the earth. It is also true in the spiritual kingdom of Heaven. It's amazing how you can change your life simply by paying attention to the spiritual seed you sow daily.
I come by this morning to let you know it was the seed. Like a farmer who plants seed, we should expect to receive a harvest when we give into God’s kingdom. A seed must be planted to bring forth increase. The seed will multiply if it is allowed to grow. Be bless and I love you!!! JE
