“We All Need Forgiveness, No One Is Exempt”

Romans 3:23-26

Exempt is defined as to free from an obligation or liability to which others are subject; release; excused; discharged; cleared.

No one is exempt from hurting or being hurt, yet God tells us that grace is offered to all people. We have all been in situations where we have done wrong and desire forgiveness, from a spouse, family member, friend, or even a co-worker. Sometimes the person we most need forgiveness from is ourselves. And then there are the times when someone is asking us for forgiveness, and we have to look deeply in ourselves to offer it, no strings attached. It's hard! Whether you are giving or receiving forgiveness, it's a very powerful thing. Ephesians 4:32 says; “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Forgiveness is NOT easy to grant when we have been hurt or wronged, but we desperately need the forgiveness of God. Without it, we would surely perish in our sins. God in His grace and mercy has granted us forgiveness through the sacrifice of Jesus and through the power of the Holy Spirit, we do have the power to grant forgiveness to others.

I come by this morning to remind you no one is exempt, we all need forgiveness today. None of us can escape the stain of sin, but the beautiful thing is, while we all have sinned, we all can receive forgiveness. Be bless and I love you!!! JE
