“You Thought It Was Going To Break You, But God Sent It To Make You”

Genesis 50:20

Make is defined as to bring into existence by shaping or changing material, combining parts; create; build; compose; form; prepare.

When we put our trust in Jesus, all of Hell takes arms against us intending evil upon our life. And, yet what trumps that fear and evil is knowing that, no matter what comes, God is the Master Weaver. He takes that which was intended for evil and reweaves it for good. When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, “What if Joseph holds a grudge against us and pays us back for all the wrongs we did to him?” So they sent word to Joseph, saying, “Your father left these instructions before he died: This is what you are to say to Joseph: I ask you to forgive your brothers the sins and the wrongs they committed in treating you so badly.’ Now please forgive the sins of the servants of the God of your father. When their message came to him, Joseph wept. His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him. “We are your slaves,”they said. But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children. And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them.

I come by this morning to let you know God has a purpose for everything even the things in our life that seem to take our breath away and break our heart. Our God is a big God. We can’t even begin to understand, but we can understand that even the bad things in our life that man or woman means for evil, God means it for good and He will always reveal it in His time. Have faith in Him, seek Him out and find comfort knowing good will come.
