“It’s Easier To Endure A Season Of Trials If We Know There Is An End In Sight”

Isaiah 41:10

Endure is defined as to hold out against; sustain without impairment or yielding; undergo; withstand; tolerate; go through.

To endure suffering we must remember Jesus. Paul calls for Timothy to remember Jesus in order to help him endure. Keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set out for Him He endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of God. Think of Him who endured such opposition against Himself by sinners, so that we may not grow weary in our souls and give up. We must have a mind fixed on Christ, not our trials or difficulties, it’s essential for endurance. When Peter walked on water, it was when he shifted his focus from Christ to the storm that he began to sink. As long as he focused on his Savior, he was able to walk in faith. We must do the same. The resurrection was the ultimate proof that Christ was not just a good man or a prophet. He was the Son of God. He was the first to ultimately rise from the dead. Lazarus and others were only raised to die again, but Jesus continues to live. If we focus primarily on people, what people say, our trials, or what seems to be a lack of fruit, we’ll get discouraged and give up. Our focus must be on our King; it is this mindset that will enable us to endure.

I come by this morning to remind and encourage you that we can endure all things if we keep our focus on Christ and not on people, their thoughts, their opinions and what their doing. We serve a mighty God and He knows what our end is. He is the Author and Finisher of ALL things. So put ALL your trust in Him and Him alone. Be bless and I love you!!! JE
