“Walking In The Spirit Of Self Centeredness”

Philippians 2:3-4

Self Centeredness is defined concerned solely or chiefly with one's own interests, welfare, needs or desires; selfish; egotistic; narcissistic.

The bible is clear that being self-centered or only thinking of oneself is a sin. When we think only of ourselves, we tend to forget the needs of others. To a self-centered person, you are just a new pair of shoes. You love those shoes, but it is a very different kind of love than you have for your kids. In reality, you don’t love your shoes at all, what you love is how they make you look, how comfortable they make your feet feel, how good they make you feel about yourself, the good things they do for you. You are not concerned about your shoes outside of what they do for you, they are part of your self-image, not part of your family.  When you protect them you aren’t doing that for them, you are doing it because they belong to you, they are your possessions. No matter how ‘attached’ you are to those shoes, you are more than happy to put them in the Good Will box if you find a new pair that fits the same needs, matches the same outfits, are even more comfortable to your feet, make you look even better. In a relationship with a self-centered person you need to see the way they handle things with you, compared to everyone else in their lives. Instead of real love, all you get is the intense adoration of a possession. God loves us deeply. Jesus inspired us by the way He lived, always serving and believing in people around Him.

I come by this asking You Father God to show us immediately if we’re walking in the spirit of self Centeredness because this is a sin and it ruins relationships and most of all it is not of God. God bless. Love you!!! JE

“Deliverance”

1 John 4:4

Deliverance is defined as release; redemption; rescue; salvation; freeing; saving.

We are promised power and strength when we call upon God for deliverance from spiritual attacks and Satan's schemes to bind us, whether to an addiction, emotion, thought, relationship, finances, or other strongholds.  We need to depend on God for deliverance from our foes. The nation of Israel had been in captivity for about 70 years, the Prophet Jeremiah warned the nation before their captivity started they would be in captivity to the Babylonians because of their disobedience to God.

When we are under the hand of our foes, we cannot lose heart, and we cannot lose faith in God's ability to deliver us from the hand of our enemy. The people whom God has saved are to thank Him because He rescued them from their enemies, literally, “the hand of the enemy.” The nation needed God to deliver them, just as he delivered them from Egypt under Moses. They were gathered them from the lands, from the east and the west, from the north and the south. The exiles have been “redeemed” from the hand of the foe, the Babylonians. But their return could have come from all parts of the earth. The Israelites were scattered by the Assyrians as well as the Babylonians. God can deliver you from the hands of your enemy, God can deliver you from your sins and addictions that enslave you. No matter what or who holds you captive, God can offer deliverance if you will humble yourself before Him and ask.

I come by this afternoon to let you know deliverance is yours if you want it. We need to depend on God for deliverance when we are lost. Trials and tribulations are always going to happen in life; James 1 says it’s a part of this journey we’re on and is meant to refine us. Be blessed and I love you!!! JE

“ Millionaire Mindset”

Deuteronomy 8:18

Mindset is defined as a fixed attitude, disposition, or mood; way of thinking.

God says that he is the one who gives the ability to create wealth. As Moses was at pains to point out to Israel: “It is God who gives us power to get wealth.” Since all the money in the world belongs to God, none of it belongs to us. In 3 John 2 it says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” And 2 Corinthians 9:8 says, “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.” As we do business, we create wealth , not only financial wealth, but also social, cultural, intellectual, and spiritual wealth. The word tells us in Deuteronomy 8 to be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors. Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep His commands. He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years. Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord your God disciplines you.

I come by tonight to let you know we must have a millionaire mindset and know that God can do exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ever ask or think. Millionaire status is not just monetary but a mindset that allows you to be worry free and walk in faith knowing God got it regardless of what it is. Thank You Lord for our millionaire status as we walk in it boldly daily. Be blessed and I love you!!! JE

“Giving Thanks To God Changes You”

Colossians 3:15

Thanks is defined as an expression of appreciation or gratitude or an acknowledgment of services or favours given.

When we make the decision to be thankful it releases new levels of faith, hope and joy. We are happier and that brings more joy to the people around us. When we grow in the knowledge of God and our focus is on Him, we can give thanks in all things. It’s difficult to be thankful if we’re not trusting fully in God’s faithfulness, proud or arrogant, discontented, jealous or envious of others, focused only on the negative and holding onto anger and bitterness. When we are growing in the knowledge of God, we can give thanks in every circumstance. It doesn’t matter whether we have plenty or are in need. We can have a spirit of thanksgiving that carries us into God’s heart for our life. It is so easy to take things for granted but we must remember to give thanks in ALL things. God’s steadfast love is fully displayed through Jesus Christ. He laid down His life on the cross to die for the sins of the world. He did this all out of love. This takes our thanksgiving to a whole other level. When we give thanks, it aligns us with God’s goodness, opens us up to receive more from Him, and frees us from anxiety and worry. It carries us through any struggle and hardship in life. It even carries us through persecution and the valley of the shadow of death.

I come by this morning to let you know giving God thanks begins the process of cha gong things around you. Thank You Father God for giving us wisdom to have more loving relationships. Thank You Father God for providing everything we need and more. Father God thank You for giving us clear directions about how to follow Your direction for our life today. Praying in thanksgiving leads to a hope, joy, peace and expectation. Be blessed and I love you!!! JE

“We Are Blessed To Be A Blessing To Others”

Zechariah 8:12-13

Blessed is defined as consecrated; sacred; holy; sanctified; worthy of adoration, reverence, or worship; favored.

We must stay encouraged to be faithful in the trials of the present time. Because if God said it, so shall it be. The four lepers who sat at the gate of Samaria at a time when the city was under siege. Things had gotten so bad inside the city that women were eating their own children to survive. But Elisha the prophet had predicted something that seemed utterly impossible, that the next day food would be plentiful and affordable in Samaria. Meanwhile, the four lepers evaluated their dismal situation. If they stayed at the gate of Samaria, they would starve. If they went over to the enemy camp, they may be killed, which would be no worse than starving. But there was the outside chance that the enemy would take pity on them and give them some scraps of food. So they took their chances and went over to the enemy camp. When they got there, they were shocked to find the camp deserted. The Lord had caused the enemy to hear the sound of a great army of chariots and horses so that they fled in a panic, leaving all of their supplies behind. The four beggars ate all that they could eat. They hauled away and hid several loads of silver and gold and clothes. Their consciences began to gnaw at them so they went and told the starving city where they could find abundant supplies to satisfy their needs.

I come by this morning to let you know because God has promised to bless us abundantly, we should be a blessing to others. God’s promises may seem impossible to us but they are not difficult for Him. Be blessed and I love you!!! JE

“We Wasn’t Created To Glorify Man But To Glorify God”

Colossians 3:23-25

Glorify is defined as to praise; to magnify and honor in worship; to honor; to extol.

We all have the same calling: to glorify God in everything we do. To glorify God is not to bestow glory on God or add to His glory, but to recognize and acknowledge His glory. We glorify the Lord with our lips, obey His word, pray in Jesus’s name, produce spirit fruit, give generously and be faithful. God created Israel for his glory. The existence of Israel was planned and conceived and achieved because God wanted to get glory for his name through her. 1 Corinthians 10:31 tells us; “Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” And Matthew 5:16 says; “Let your light so shine among men that they may see your good deeds and give glory to your Father in heaven.” Isaiah 43:5-7, Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, ‘Give them up! and to the south, Do not hold them back. Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth, everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made. To glorify God is to reveal Him to those we encounter and throughout our society. We are primarily made for God’s glory, to be His reflection in the world.

I come by this evening to let you know nothing can compare to God not now or ever. When we glorify God, we become the best we can be and achieve harmony in a world ruptured by sin and wickedness. Be blessed and I love you!!! JE

“Forgive Others Not Because They Deserve It But Because You Deserve Peace”

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Peace is defined as harmony; calm; serenity; truce; love.

Today, January 23, 2022, I choose to forgive. I deserve peace and today I’m going to walk in it boldly. Regardless of what was said, done or thought towards me. I love you and there isn’t nothing you can do to change or alter it, because my love is truly genuine. Lord, I thank You for renewing by heart, mind and soul. The devil lose again. Lord, where you’re taking me, everybody can’t go and I understand that now. Forgiveness is not something that we say with our mouth. It is something that we do with our heart. Many people say they forgive, but they never truly forgive. They harbor a hidden bitterness in their heart. Imagine if God never truly forgave us. Where would we be? Hell where we belong. Forgiveness comes from God and when we forgive others that is an earthly reflection of God and His love being poured out on the cross of Jesus Christ. Jesus is why we forgive. Jesus is why we don’t want to hold on to grudges. He is worthy of it all. The price that was paid for us was too great. Holding a grudge doesn’t make us strong, it makes us bitter, forgiving doesn’t make us weak, it sets us free. Life becomes easier when we learn to accept an apology we never got. Forgiveness does not change the past, but it does enlarge the future. We should forgive others as quickly as we expect God to forgive us. It is just as necessary to forgive ourselves as it is to forgive others and the principal reason why forgiveness seemed so difficult is because we have neglected to forgive ourselves.

I come by this morning to let you know forgiveness is a strength not a weakness. Forgiving gives you your well deserved  peace. Free yourself today. Romans 12:19-21 “Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Be blessed and I love you!!! JE
