“We Were Created To Soar Like A Eagle”

Isaiah 40:28-31

Soar is defined as to fly at a great height; rise; ascend; escalate; tower; up.

A bald eagle can spread its seven-foot wingspan and soar up to ten thousand feet in the sky. They soar through the sky at forty miles per hour, and they can spot their prey from over two miles away. And once it sees dinner, an eagle can nosedive for the kill at speeds up to one hundred miles per hour. We all encounter obstacles that convince us that we’re unable to soar. These obstacles weigh us to the ground and cause us to surrender our dreams. We wasn’t meant to be stuck on the ground. God created us to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ever ask or think. There are quite a few witnesses who had to overcome obstacles to fulfill God’s purpose and calling in their lives; Peter surely felt like a pretty big failure when he denied Christ. John Mark’s missionary journey got so hard that he essentially quit on Paul and Barnabas midway through. Elijah literally ran away when King Ahab and Jezebel got mad at him and that was after God had already done a bunch of amazing miracles through him. The most important person of all, Jesus, was criticized, ignored, made fun of, attacked, arrested, beaten, and eventually murdered on the way to completing God’s purpose for His life and saving all humankind.

I come by this morning to let you know, we’re all capable of reaching our dreams. God designed each of us for greatness and we were created to soar beyond our wildest dreams. Trust God and keep moving forward. You are destined for great purpose. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“Let God Work In And Through You”

Matthew 5:14-16

Work is defined as cultivate; form; make; process; mold; shape; process.

Our most important job is to give God time, opportunity and full access to do His work in and through us. Shut the world out and invite Jesus in today to do some landscaping in our hearts, minds and soul with His amazing grace. Stop blaming people for your shortcomings and do a self-examination. Woe God it’s me standing in the need of prayer. Stop looking at what happened to you in your past and allow God to be your present. You can’t go forward looking back at what it was. Start living in the now and let God do a work in and through you. We are a part of God's “new creation” and God continues to work in us to make us what He wants us to be. His purpose is to make us more like Christ. Christ is equipping us for our walk and our work here on earth. To do this, He uses three special tools: (1) the word of God. (2) prayer and (3)suffering. As we read God’s Word, understand it, meditate on it, and feed on it, the Word goes to work in our lives to cleanse us and nourish us. As we pray, God’s Spirit works in us to release power. And as we suffer, the Spirit of God ministers to us. Suffering drives us back to the word and prayer, and the cycle is repeated. After Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, He said, “Loose him, and let him go.” In other words, “This man is now alive. Get him out of the graveclothes!”

I come by this morning to let you know God is doing a great work in you. For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“There Will Be Peace Because We Have The Victory”

John 16:33

Peace is defined as calm; serenity; harmony; agreement;truce; unity; quiet.

We are not self-assured, we are God-assured. We must understand and use spiritual authority. Spiritual authority is not forcing our will upon another person. When we have spiritual authority, we have established God’s peace in an area that once was full of conflict and oppression. Therefore, to truly be able to move in authority, we must first have peace. The Apostle Paul taught, “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.” When we maintain peace during warfare, it is a crushing deathblow to satanic oppression and fear. Our victory never comes from our emotions or our intellect. Our victory comes by refusing to judge by what our eyes see or our ears hear and by trusting that what God has promised will come to pass. Jesus’ authority over the violent storm was the exercise and expansion of His peace over the elements. He did not fight against the storm nor did He fear it. In perfect peace, He faced its fury and subdued it with His authority.

I come by this afternoon to let you know we will never know Christ’s victory in its fullness until we stop reacting humanly to our circumstances. When you truly have authority over something you can look at that thing without worry, fear or intimidation. Your peace is the proof of your victory. Amen!!! Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“We Must Be About Our Father’s Business”

Colossians 3:23-25

Business is defined as a job; profession; work; specialty; livelihood; calling.

Every season of our life we must be about our Father’s business. Accepting our responsibility and doing our part in the “family business” it is a rite of passage that reflects maturity as a follower of Christ. Even as a boy, Jesus understood His mission on earth. When only twelve, Jesus accompanied His parents to Jerusalem for the feast of the Passover. On the return trip to Nazareth, after a day’s journey, Mary and Joseph realized that Jesus was not among the great company of travelers. They made haste and returned to the city and found Jesus in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers. Mary said to Him, “Son, why have You done this to us? Look, Your father and I have sought You anxiously.”Why did you seek Me?” Jesus asked. “Did you not know that I must be about My Father’ business?”

I come by this blessed afternoon to let you know we must be about our Father’s business at all times. Lay aside all things that keep us from the will of God. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“You Should Be Grateful For What You Have, Because It Could Be Worse”

Romans 8:18-19

Worse is defined as in a more evil, wicked, severe, or disadvantageous manner; bad; poor.

Despite the ups and downs that we may face or encounter; the words which come from our lips should be words of thanksgiving unto the Lord. We have to always remember that things could be worse. When facing storms in our life, we must get to the point where we are able to smile because of the ability that we have to feel the rain. There are so many people who would love to go through the things which we are going through; however, the path which they are traveling calls for a different storm for them to face. we all encounter storms, there is no life paved from the womb to the gates of heaven which will not subject you to storms during your travel. This is why we have to be thankful; we can thank God in the midst of our storms because we know that we will come out of them and the water which has fallen will simply provide the nutrients needed for the seed which God planted in us to sprout. There are people learning from your walk of faith and you too will be exalted because God will definitely show His faithfulness when you adhere to His calling despite the obstacles which are before you… Make no mistake about itI will deliver thee; says the Lord.

I come by this afternoon to let you know there is a purpose to the trials we face. God promises to deliver us from our current situation, He promises that we will see better days; He promises that our present suffering will not outweigh the weight of glory that we will receive. We have to believe it could be worse. But God! Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“Spiritual Blockage”

Psalms 51:10-12

Spiritual blockage is defined as an issue, emotion, or situation that is keeping you from achieving your full potential; anything that creates a resistance within the self.

When we get frustrated we start comparing our journey to another’s and this is when we start to create a resistance. We start to build an emotional or spiritual block without even realizing it. Sometimes we are so wrapped up in why we aren’t understanding the problem that we neglect to see the solution right in front of our face. Everybody has a dream in their heart. They stem from our unique gifts, which are part of our higher purpose here on this earth to share with the world. When the life we're living is not in alignment with this calling, it can result in feeling less than happy and fulfilled. A believer’s spirit can become poisoned by evil spirits. This is what the fiery darts of the enemy do. He can shoot his darts directly into a believer’s spirit. He can shoot sorrow, sadness, suffering, grief, and heartbreak into a believer’s spirit, causing him to have a "sorrowful spirit.” But a wounded spirit who can bear?" Hence, this greatly affects a person. When a believer feels sorrowful, he thinks he is feeling sorrowful, considering this sorrow to be very natural. Sometimes Satan causes our spirit to become hard, stubborn, narrow, selfish, wild, and disobedient. Consequently, the spirit is not able to cooperate with the Holy Spirit and carry out God’s will. We will lose all of our love for men and all of our gentleness, sympathy, and considerations for the weaknesses of others. When this happens, the Holy Spirit cannot use us to any great extent; we will have lost the Lord’s broadness and set up a boundary for ourselves. Sometimes the enemy puts an unforgiving spirit into the believers. This is the most frequent poison that believers take in.

I come by this morning to let you know we should exercise a living faith to oppose the attacks of the enemy and should trust in God’s protection. Faith is our shield; it is not our extracting pliers. It is for quenching the fiery darts, not for pulling them out. We can conqueror our spiritual blockage. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“Fake vs Authenticity”

Matthew 7:21-23

Fake is defined as anything made to appear otherwise than it actually is; counterfeit; false; imitation; fraudulent; phony; copy. Authenticity is defined as genuineness; truthfulness; trustworthiness; realness.

A lot of us today are more worried about what man think than what God thinks. Trying to be something you’re not, always gossiping and trying to be like the Jones. Wake up my brother, my sister and follow the instructions of the Lord. You continuously missing out on your blessing because you so caught up in self, jealousy and envy. God see all you do and you’re held accountable for ALL your actions. Be careful how you put your mouth on the children of God. From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. Authenticity is selfless.

I come by this morning to let you know it’s time out for being fake. God is about to expose every hidden agenda and every fake part of you. Take time to ask yourself are you fake or authentic in your walk with Christ? It’s not too late to get it right, start today. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“What Was Meant To Break You God Used It To Make You”

Genesis 50:20

Break is defined as to smash, split, or divide into parts violently; reduce to pieces or fragments.

Make is defined as to bring into existence by shaping or changing material, combining parts; create; build.

Regardless of the obstacles the enemy brings into your life, you can be confident that God is able to use the very thing the enemy used to break and destroy you to build you up and elevate you from where you are to where you need to be in accordance with your destiny. God will use what the enemy used to decrease you to increase you. Be patient and trust in God and in his timing. God always works all things together for our good. Joseph tied himself to the pillar of this promise and held on for dear life. Bloodstains, tearstains are everywhere. Joseph’s heart was rubbed raw against the rocks of disloyalty and miscarried justice. Yet time and time again God redeemed the pain. The torn robe became a royal one. The pit became a palace. The broken family grew old together. The very acts intended to destroy God’s servant turned out to strengthen him. Joseph told his brothers, “You wove evil,” he was saying, “but God rewove it together for good.” God, the Master Weaver. He stretches the yarn and intertwines the colors, the ragged twine with the velvet strings, the pains with the pleasures. Nothing escapes His reach. Every king, despot, weather pattern, and molecule are at His command. He passes the shuttle back and forth across the generations, and as He does, a design emerges. Satan weaves; God reweaves.

I come by this evening to let you know one of the most potentially frightening aspects of being a child of God is knowing that when you put your trust in Jesus, all of Hell takes arms against you intending evil upon your life. And, yet what trumps that fear and evil is knowing that, no matter what comes, God is the Master Weaver. He takes was was intended for evil and reweaves it for good. Amen!!! Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“We Belong To You, Lord”

1 John 4:4

Belong is defined as to be in the relation of a member, adherent, inhabitant; to be part of; be affiliated; to be linked with; attach to.

Know that the Lord is God, He made us; we belong to Him. We are His people, the sheep of His own pasture.” Thus, we belong to God because He made us to be His very own people. He continues to watch over us as our good shepherd. See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure. Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. You know that he appeared to take away sins, and in him there is no sin.

I come by tonight to let you know nothing, I mean nothing can erase the fact that you belong to God through Jesus Christ. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“Stay On The Wall And Don’t Allow People Or Circumstances To Move You”

Luke 21:36

Stay is defined as to to spend some time in a place, in a situation, with a person or group; to stop or halt; to hold back, detain, or restrain, as from going further.

It's not easy to keep pushing on when obstacles threaten and impending defeat looms large on the horizon. Yet this is standard fare for all who chose to do and dare for the kingdom of God. That pagans have made unstinting efforts to glorify their false gods, is reason enough why Christians should do much more to glorify the One True God. Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me. If I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person shall die for his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. But if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way, he shall die for his iniquity, but you will have delivered your soul.

I come by this evening to let you know no matter how weak, incapable, or unqualified you feel, fear not. Unreservedly give to God your life, your heart, your mind, your all. He will take care of the rest, for He has promised: “Not by might, not by power, but by my Spirit, saith The Lord of Hosts.” Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“Why Do We Shout?”

Psalms 150:1-6

Shout is defined as to call or cry out loudly and vigorously; cry; roar; scream; cheer; yell.

There is power in our shout. The word praise is the Hebrew word shabach , which means to address in a loud tone, to triumph, to shout, to still, to command, to glory. This is a shouting praise, you don’t sing it, you shout it. A shout commands our victory. It stills the enemy. This kind of praise is a battle cry; a cry of victory.  And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the Lord, “For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever toward Israel.” And all the people shouted with a great shout when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid. But many of the priests and Levites and heads of fathers' houses, old men who had seen the first house, wept with a loud voice when they saw the foundation of this house being laid, though many shouted aloud for joy, so that the people could not distinguish the sound of the joyful shout from the sound of the people's weeping, for the people shouted with a great shout, and the sound was heard far away. As he was drawing near, already on the way down the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of his disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen, saying, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” And some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.” He answered, “I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out.” And when he drew near and saw the city, he wept over it.

I come by this evening to let you know, as we shout unto God, we shout at the devil. The power of an anointed shout will bring breakthrough, deliverance, provision, answers, manifestations. It puts demons on the run. This is why we shout. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“When You Feel Like Giving Up”

Romans 5:3-4

Giving up is defined as to yield control or possession of; surrender; abandon; quit.

With Jesus help we can endure anything. Nobody told us it’s going be easy. The weapon may form but it shall not prosper. Peter instructed Christians suffering wrong for doing what was right, he encouraged them to “endure.” Jesus “endured the Cross” for us. We were the “joy” set before Him.  When Paul was writing to the church in Corinth, he told them that when he was persecuted, his response was to “endure it.”  God is good and He is faithful. He will give you what you need. We must endure, or patiently persevere. Keep close to Jesus. Keep putting one foot in front of the other. This will not last. There is hope. There is joy. While we may never fully get over our pain, we can grow through it. And by God’s grace, we can get through it too.

I come by this late night to say, Lord we trust You. No matter what we have to go through, we will not give up. It’s not an option. When we’re unwilling to endure the hardship we miss out on the future harvest God has for us. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“Rightfully Ours”

1 Corinthians 2:9

Rightfully is defined as having a valid or just claim, as to some property or position;  legally; fairly.

Are you willing to claim your inheritance? God is your benefactor, and He has made you, His beloved child, heir to all that is beautiful, good, and pure. Your inheritance is not dependent on the demise of anyone, because God and His offspring are eternal; it is all yours right here, right now. Do not postpone claiming and enjoying what is rightfully yours. He who knows he is God's heir and claims his birthright can approach his human experiences from the standpoint of giving instead of getting. He does not suffer from the cruel fears of lack and limitation, which are concomitants of a material sense of being. He affluently demonstrates the divine nature without fear of depletion. He knows he is constantly supplied with the divine ideas that supply his daily needs. Health, activity, and companionship, as well as goodness, intelligence, peace, and happiness, all are yours by inheritance. The seeming place of lack of any kind is already filled with the riches of God's love.

I come by this evening to let you know that God reminds that He will fight for us all we need to do is be still. The inheritance is rightfully ours and there is nothing the devil can do to change it. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“We All Have An Appointed Time”

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Appointed is defined as predetermined; arranged; set; chosen; selected; delegated.

God determines how long you wait in His waiting room. God determines the times. God promised Abraham that he would have a seed, and he waited in God’s waiting room twenty-five years. God’s appointed time. Jacob had to wait fourteen years to marry Rachel. God’s appointed time. Joseph languished in prison for three years for a crime he didn’t commit. Why? Because God appoints the times in which we languish and wait in His waiting room. Moses spent forty years on the backside of the desert, outside of Egypt because God appoints the times. Like Jonah was in the belly of the fish, Jesus was in the grave three days and three nights because God’s appointed time. The days and times for Jonah in the service of God were not through. Yet, there was the miracle in it all. The miracle is not that the fish swallowed Jonah. A big fish can do that. The miracle is that while he was in the fish he didn’t see corruption. The miracle is that while he was in the fish for those three days and three nights he was not allowed to see decay. The grave did not overcome him. Acts 13:35 and 37 say that Jesus, whom God ordained, went down into death and the grave for three days and three nights, and did not see “decay”; the same was true here of Jonah.

I come by this evening to let you know God’s appointed time is sufficient for us. This is important and encouraging. We may go down, but however long He sends us down, He will not let us go out. Amen!!! Remember, it is God’s appointed time. It is His appointed waiting room. God will not allow us to be swallowed up by death. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“Your Actions Can Speak Louder Than Your Words”

James 1:22-25

Actions is defined as behavior; conduct; attitude; demeanor; presence; management; practice.

We can say we care, but that’s hard to believe if we are never available to help, to listen, to serve. Stop making it ALL about you. God called you to serve others not yourself. What do you think? A man had two sons. And he went to the first and said, ‘Son, go and work in the vineyard today.’ And he answered, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he changed his mind and went. And he went to the other son and said the same. And he answered, ‘I go, sir,’ but did not go. Which of the two did the will of his father?” They said, “The first.” Jesus said to them, “Truly, I say to you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes go into the kingdom of God before you. For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him. And even when you saw it, you did not afterward change your minds and believe him. In Matthew 5:37 it says; “Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil. Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad, for the tree is known by its fruit. You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil.

I come by this morning to encourage you to not only speak a word but be a doer of the word. It’s easy to talk about it but are you truly living what you’re speaking? Don’t speak about how to love if you’re not showing love. Don’t try to tell someone how to be successful if you’re not trying live it yourself. Let your actions speak for you. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“Inspite Of Our Circumstances, God Wants Us To Stand On Our Own Two Feet, Stop Trying To Fit In”

Romans 12:1-2

Fit in is defined as to be socially compatible with other members of a group; to belong or conform; accept; tolerate; bear with; stand for; submit.

Fitting in is being ordinary. It’s being a follower. The only person we are to follow is Christ. The problem with trying to fit in is, it’s seeking joy in all the wrong places. We will never be satisfied when we do this. Find joy in Christ. Did Jesus ever fit in with the world? No, and neither will His followers. We all want to be liked, cherished, and appreciated by our peers. God could care less about these things. The purpose of the Gospel isn’t to fit in at all, but to in fact stand out. God has called us to be different. To stand against the grain. To be a city on a hilltop. And to be the change for a world that lacks hope. Not fitting in is a good thing. We weren’t made to fit in. We were made to fulfill our calling in Christ. We were made to stand out. When we’re filled more with God’s Spirit, we worry less about fitting in and more about pouring out. We seek in others what we can only find in God. In Romans 15:13 it says; “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

I come by this morning to let you know in life we’re going to have to make sacrifices for the Lord and who we hang around with is one of them. Don’t try to act like something you’re not, be yourself and continue to follow the word of God. Stop trying fit it, it’s not worth it. Be who God called you to be and stand out for His glory not man. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“We Are Essential”

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Essential is defined as absolutely necessary; indispensable; important; vital; needed.

The Holy Spirit moves us to action when it is essential to act on truth. Samuel wrote, “When Saul heard their words, the Spirit of God came upon him in power, and he burned with anger...He proclaimed, ‘This is what will be done to the oxen of anyone who does not follow Saul and Samuel.’ Then the terror of the Lord fell on the people, and they turned out as one man.” Ask the Lord to make it extremely clear to us when He wants us to speak and act in His will. The Holy Spirit counsels us about decisions that are often complicated. Samuel wrote, “He gave him the plans of all that the Spirit had put in his mind for the courts of the temple of the Lord and all the surrounding rooms, for the treasuries of the temple of God and for the treasuries for the dedicated things.” Ask the Lord to give you the knowledge that is necessary to make important decisions based on all kinds of sound information, advise and research. The Holy Spirit imparts wisdom and skill just when we need it most. Moses wrote, “So Pharaoh asked them, ‘Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the spirit of God? Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, ‘Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you.’ Ask the Lord to give you all the necessary wisdom and skill to accomplish everything He has called you to do. We are essential to God and He will lead and guide us.

I come by this afternoon to let you know we have a Lamb that is always ready to save us when we fall. He provide all our needs and consider us to be essential. Not a devil in hell can change that not now or ever. Continue to trust and believe in the Lord and He shall direct your path. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“We All Need Forgiveness, No One Is Exempt”

Romans 3:23-26

Exempt is defined as to free from an obligation or liability to which others are subject; release; excused; discharged; cleared.

No one is exempt from hurting or being hurt, yet God tells us that grace is offered to all people. We have all been in situations where we have done wrong and desire forgiveness, from a spouse, family member, friend, or even a co-worker. Sometimes the person we most need forgiveness from is ourselves. And then there are the times when someone is asking us for forgiveness, and we have to look deeply in ourselves to offer it, no strings attached. It's hard! Whether you are giving or receiving forgiveness, it's a very powerful thing. Ephesians 4:32 says; “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Forgiveness is NOT easy to grant when we have been hurt or wronged, but we desperately need the forgiveness of God. Without it, we would surely perish in our sins. God in His grace and mercy has granted us forgiveness through the sacrifice of Jesus and through the power of the Holy Spirit, we do have the power to grant forgiveness to others.

I come by this morning to remind you no one is exempt, we all need forgiveness today. None of us can escape the stain of sin, but the beautiful thing is, while we all have sinned, we all can receive forgiveness. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“Let’s Rebuild”

Amos 9:13-15

Rebuild is defined as to repair; to replace; restrengthen; reinforce; to revise; reshape; reorganize.

Let’s rebuild! Check our motives. The goal is to help, never to hurt. Look at ourselves before we look down on others. Rather than put them in their place, put ourselves in their place. In the book of Nehemiah, the walls of the city of Jerusalem were in ruins and the people of Israel were in exile in the land of Babylon. Nehemiah the prophet was in the presence of the king of Babylon when an amazing conversation took place. The king asked him. “Why does your face look so sad when you are not ill?” Then I prayed to the God of Heaven, and I answered the king, “If it pleases the king and if your servant has found favor in his sight, let him send me to the city in Judah where my ancestors are buried so that I can rebuild it.” The king not only granted Nehemiah the permission to go and rebuild the wall but gave him help to accomplish this task. Like Nehemiah, when parts of our lives need to be restored, grace comes over us to face the challenge, and we have help through the Holy Spirit to accomplish what must be done. God is the Great Builder. He’s the One who built the universe by speaking it into existence; and then, when sin entered and His creation was separated, He sent His Son into the world so a bridge might be built back to Himself. God cares about what needs to be restored in your life, and He will help you accomplish the task. The principles of rebuilding is as follows: (1) Operating by faith. (2) Giving, (3) Standing United and (4) Rejoice and praise the Lord. These principles lead to success.

I come by this afternoon to let you know it takes time to rebuild but we must remind ourselves of God’s goodness and promises. When all seems most hopeless, God allows us to rebuild and flourish. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“We All Should Be Slow To Speak, Quick to Listen”

Proverbs 10:19

Slow is defined as to moving or proceeding with little or less than usual speed; unhurried; delaying; reluctant; gradual.

Our mouths get us into a lot of trouble. We profess to believe one thing, but then we are often betrayed by what comes out of our mouths. Jesus said, “The mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” The tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. When we discipline ourselves to listen more than we talk, we can learn a lot. Big talkers are hard to teach. They think they already know everything they need to know, and they constantly express their opinions. Wise people have learned that more wisdom can be gained by listening, observing, and not rushing to judgment. Many relationships have been damaged or ruined because we were slow to listen and quick to speak. We should be careful about the kinds of people we spend a lot of time listening to. In Psalms 1 it warns us not to listen to the foolish or the wicked. James instructed believers to maintain trust in God, even during hard times. In fact, believers are to consider their hardships as "joy," since trials are how God strengthens our faith. Those who trust and obey God learn to adjust the speed of their listening and speaking. If God is truly in control, we can afford to take the time to understand. Rather than shooting from the hip, we can respond in a way that is helpful. Doubting that God is in control speeds up our mouth and slows down our mind.

I come by this afternoon to let you know being quick to listen actually opens the door to greater communication because listening shows respect and when people feel respected, they are more likely to return that respect and listen to us. It’s

important for us to be quick to listen and slow to speak. God’s word is the best way. When we follow it, we are blessed. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“A Mother Is A True Blessing From God”

Proverbs 23:25

Mother is defined as a female parent; source; child-bearer; origin; mommy.

The blessing of God in a human form. Having a mother is probably God's greatest in our lives. It's a Mother’s love that make us strong, her care that prepare us to face the world, her hands that help us overcome all the trying times of life.?And give her back the same love that she showered on you. We must honor and love our mothers.  Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all. In Proverbs 31:25-28 it says; “Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.” Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.

I come by this evening to let you know honor your mother and love her unconditionally because tomorrow is not promised to no one. Love her inspite of all her flaws because there is no one who can take the place of your mother on this earth. Happy Mother’s Day!!! Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“We Were Not Just Picked, We Were Chosen By God”

1 Peter 2:9-10

Chosen is defined as preferred; selected; called; exclusive; picked.

No one can do the job that God chose us to do.  God chose us for a very specific purpose. We are meant to be used by Him according to His perfect plan.  He chose us to walk a very clear path. He did so knowing our individual personality, talents and His plan for mankind. Despite our fears and doubts, we have wonderful things to accomplish for the Kingdom. God formed us. He gives us power to reach amazing achievements. God doesn’t call the qualified He qualifies the called.  But we have to trust Him in order to seize these victories. The word tells us in 1 Corinthians 1:27; “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.” It may not seem to make sense at the time, but God does not judge like we do. He does not look at the outward appearance, but at the heart and He is never wrong. He chose us, warts and all. God will provide His power to get His results. We provide the clay pot. We are enough because God picked us. God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called. It is the One who called that is important not the one who is called. Understanding and remembering this is the key to our every step in faith.

I come by tonight to let you know God chose us for a purpose just like He chose Paul and David. His choice alone, His plan, His purpose. We are His chosen ones and His plans and purposes will be fulfilled and not a devil in hell can change it now or never. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“You Are Going Reap Everything You Put Out”

Galatians 6:7-10

Reap is defined as to get as a return, recompense, or result; collect; harvest; receive.

Each choice that we make brings with it a consequence. If we make wise, God honoring choices then we will experience positive consequences. If we make sinful, disobedient choices then we will experience negative consequences. We will reap whatever we sow. Sowing and Reaping has both positive and negative connotations. If you sow good things, you will reap good things. If you sow honesty, you will reap trust. If you sow goodness, you will reap friends. If you sow humility, you will reap greatness. If you sow perseverance, you will reap victory. If you sow consideration, you will reap harmony. If you sow hard work, you will reap success. If you sow forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation. If you sow openness, you will reap intimacy. If you sow patience, you will reap improvements. If you sow faith, you will reap miracles. If you sow dishonesty, you will reap distrust. If you sow selfishness, you will reap loneliness. We must be careful with our spiritual seed just as the farmer is with his physical seed, we will reap the abundance of life that Jesus brought. We must sow the same kind of seed that Jesus sowed or we won’t reap an abundant harvest. We will face only trouble and despair in our family, friends and relationships.

I come by this morning to let you know to be careful what kind of seed you sow because the word of God promises that you will reap what you sow. Good seeds bring good harvest. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“We Should Be The Children Of God Who Brings Change Not Refuse Change”

2 Corinthians 5:17-21

Change is defined as to make the form, nature, content, future course, of (something) different from what it is; covert; transform; alter; shift.

Change is very difficultWhether it's changing a habit or attitude or job or city - change is always a challenge, and change is even more difficult when it's imposed on us suddenly or without our approval. There is always an element of pain in change, even when the change is for good. The word tells us in Isaiah 43:19; “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." The bible is filled with stories of people who had to experience the pain associated with change in order to receive the blessings that positive change brought into their lives. Let’s talk about Abraham: Now the Lord said to Abram, Go forth from your country, And from your relatives. And from your father's house, To the land which I will show you; And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed." The change that Abraham had to make. Leave his country and go live in a foreign land that he didn't know. Look at the pain involved in this change. The fear of living in a different culture, language, traditions. The pain of leaving his relatives, his home, his friends behind for good. The risk of leaving the security of his home for the unknown place God was sending him to. Look at the blessings associated with this change. His name and family would be great. God would give him many descendants. The world would be blessed through him. Abraham considered the change and examined the pain and decided that the blessings were worth it.

I come by this morning to let you know there are moments in life when a change is necessary or due. Except change and move into what God has for you. God said He would never leave us or forsake us. Trust Him in the midst of change and grab hold of it. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“Positive Thoughts Equals Positive Results”

Matthew 5:10-11

Positive is defined as precise; clear; indisputable; confident; specific; definite; certain.

As a man thinks in his heart so is he. Your thoughts   are the roadway to your destiny. In Proverbs 23:7 it says that our thoughts have the creative ability to determine what we become. Negative minds produce negative lives. On the other hand, we can choose to build positive lives by changing the way we think. Positive thought equals positive results. We live in a world where the line between right and wrong is continually blurred. The word of God never backtracks on what is right. Meditating on God’s word on a regular basis equips us as believers to live righteously. The power of God is most evident in us who stand for what is right even in adversity. Saul and Jonathan were as different as night from day; yet both were admired in their day. Jesus is far greater than these men and worthy of all our admiration. We can center our thoughts to feast on the goodness of Christ. The power of God opens up our minds to His great sacrifice and love that leads us into eternal life. Identify the obstacles and start practicing being positive in all kinds of situations. If you're going through a difficult time in life, start believing that God will work things out for your good. Even positive thinkers deal with disappointing situations. The difference is that they have learned to let things roll off their back and enjoy life no matter what happens.

I come by this afternoon to let you know there is power in positive thoughts for the believer that is rooted in what they believe about God and His word. We are called to think about what is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable, and not just think about them but dwell on them. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“Spiritually Broken”

2 Corinthians 7:10-16

Broken is defined not functioning properly; out of working order; destroyed; damaged; shattered.

The reason  brokenness is beautiful is because of how God can use it in our lives. David, a man after God’s own heart. David, a warrior with his band of mighty men. David, the greatest king to ever reign over Israel. And here we find him, his larger-than-life status diminished, his great attributes out of the lime- light, his sin highlighted. David, the man we rightfully respect and look to as an example in our Christian lives, is a sinner. David, in this moment, has been reduced to a liar, an adulterer, and a murderer. David knew God does not want we sinners to pick ourselves up by our bootstraps and try harder. He does not want us to feed our pride by “making things right”, nor does he simply want sadness and sorrow over the consequences and pain our sin brings to us. He wants spiritual brokenness, the kind of brokenness He can use. He wants godly sorrow that leads to repentance. The most wonderful thing about sin is that it makes you so desperate that all you want is God.” Yes, deep sin can make us desperate. And out of that desperation, out of grief and the hurt of a fractured heart over sin, God longs to produce humility in us. It is humility that allows us to recognize, as David did, who God is and who we are in comparison with him. It is humility that sets us up to come to grips with our sin. The reason  brokenness is beautiful is because of how God can use it in our lives. It is something that can draw us near to Him. Brokenness  can make room for a contrite heart and repentance to bring us back into fellowship with Him when we have miserably failed.

I come by this morning to let you know true brokenness is a tool by which God brings His wandering sheep back into His loving arms. So Lord, break us. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“Intimate Relationship With Jesus”

Psalms 69:32

Intimate is defined as associated in close personal relations; devoted; confidant; special; trusted.

Trust is at the heart of intimacy. The more we trust someone, the closer we let them get to us. The degree to which trust is compromised in a relationship is the degree to which intimacy evaporates. One common mistake is thinking that nearness to God can be achieved through knowledge accumulation. Now, of course, to intimately know God, we must know crucial things about God. Jesus said, “you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” and he pointed out that many worship what they do not know. We are not abounding in Enochs, saints who walk with God in a profoundly intimate way. Why? Because knowledge is not synonymous with trust. That’s why Jesus said to the religious leaders of His day, some who possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of scripture. In John 5:39-40 it says; “You search the scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life.” Biblical knowledge is far better than gold when it fuels our trust in God, because it fuels our intimacy with God. But when biblical knowledge replaces our trust in God, it only fuels our pride. Amen!!! The secret to drawing near to God and having Him draw near to us is through faith in Christ who alone gives us access to him and we put our trust in all of “His precious and very great promises” which find their Yes to us in Christ. God is impressed with our faith, not our feats. Where faith is lacking, He is not pleased with the quantity of our knowledge or the quality of our aesthetic events. And without faith it is impossible to please him.

I come by this blessed afternoon to let you know Jesus wants an intimate relationship with us. When God sees whose heart fully trusts His promises and lives by them, God comes to strongly support that saint and manifests Himself to him. God loves us with an intimacy that surpasses all our dreams. He wants us to have a close, personal relationship with Him of intimacy, simplicity and obedience. This is an extraordinary honour and privilege. Moses, David and, of course, Jesus had an intimate relationship with God. And we can too. Be blessed and I love you!!! JE

“Commitment”

1 Corinthians 15:5

Commitment is defined as promise; guarantee; need; responsibility; obligation; assurance; promise.

Serving God requires complete obedience, commitment and faith in His words. Serving God is hard work, because it involves labour, it involves unmoveable faith, it involves steadfastness, it involves prayer, it involves fasting, it involves bible study, it also require that you are totally committed to God. We must do the work of Him who sends us while it is day, because the night comes when no man can work and that work also include overcoming temptations. We need to serve God with all of our heart, because God does not look at the outer man, He looks at the hearts. We cannot be tossed this way and that in our walk with the Lord. You need to remain flatfooted in the things of God. God is not slack concerning His promises as most men count slackness. Once He made us a promise we can bet our last dollar on Him fulfilling it and we wont regret it. We must keep our end of the bargain, by diligently obeying the command, and serving God with our whole heart.

I come by this late evening to encourage you to stay committed to the Lord and trust Him with all your heart in the good and bad. He is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ever ask or think. Be bless and I love you!!! JE

“Beware Of Cunning Spirits”

Titus 1:9

Cunning is defined as devious, slick; tricky; sly.

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, 'Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?' Our Lord Jesus warned about those who would come as “sheep in wolves’ clothing.” His words apply to those of whom Paul speaks ; “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles. Even so, every good tree bears good fruit; but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. You will know them by their fruits” In order to identify those whom the saints at Rome are to “keep an eye on” Paul indicates three “fruits of falsehood” which characterize those who pose a threat to the saints; (1) Strife, Paul says we are to “keep an eye on those who cause dissensions.” The old adage, “divide and conquer,” seems to be one of the fundamental tenants of those aligned with falsehood. In Romans and elsewhere in Paul’s teaching, strife is condemned, and Christian unity is upheld. (2) Deceive like Satan, their master, they are cunning, skilled in the art of deception. (3) Seduce with their speech.

I come by this evening to let you know when you’re walk along where snakes might be found, you should always carefully watch where you are walking. You are “suspecting.” You keep your eyes open to catch the presence of any snake. Once you spot a snake, you keep your eyes on it. You see where it is going and you turn away from it, immediately. Beware of cunning spirits. Be bless and I love you!!! JE
