2 Corinthians 4:13-18
Sustaining is defined as to support, hold, or bear up from below; bear the weight of, as a structure; keep up; maintain.
Our future is in God’s hands. Tomorrow morning may bring joy and even a miracle, for His mercies are new every morning and nothing is impossible with God. The widow of Zarephath’s oil and flour were miraculously available as long as she needed them. After Hezekiah prayed, 185,000 Assyrians were killed by the angel of the Lord without Israel even going to battle. Gideon defeated the vast army of the Midianites with only three hundred men. Humanly speaking, none of them saw a way out of the situation. And often we don’t either. But with God all things are possible to those who believe. God reassured us that we didn’t need to despair over the future. But He wasn’t assuring us that our circumstances would change if we trusted Him. He was calling us to endure today and trust Him for tomorrow. God’s grace is sufficient for us. His power is made perfect in our weakness. We need to wait for Him, and that He would strengthen us and would supply all our needs. When the world thought we were giving up the Lord showed up and showed out.
I come by this evening to let you know the Lord has sustained us even when it looked like is was no way out. Always remember God is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. If we would draw near to Him, he would draw near to us. Be bless and I love you!!! JE
Amen
