“Standing For What Is Right, Even If You Have To Stand Alone”

2 Timothy 2:15

Right is defined as in accordance with what is good, proper, or just.

We must be strong in the Lord and put on His full armor, so that we may stand firm against the enemy. The word says in Jeremiah 22:3-6; Thus says the Lord, “Execute justice and righteousness, and rescue the one who has been robbed from the hand of his oppressor. And do no wrong; do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, or the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place. For if you will indeed obey this word, then kings will enter through the gates of this palace, sitting in David’s place on his throne, riding in chariots and on horses, even the king himself and his servants and his people. But if you will not hear and obey these words, I swear [an oath] by Myself,” says the Lord, “that this house will become a desolation.” For thus says the Lord in regard to the house of the king of Judah.”  While David was on the run from Saul, David had wrongly allied himself with the Philistine king and was about to go into battle against Saul and the forces of Israel when God intervened. David and his men were sent home from the battle. But they arrived to find their city burned with fire and their wives, children, and possessions taken captive by the Amalekites. At that point, David’s men were so embittered that they were talking about stoning him. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.” What a dramatic turnaround! David was almost down for the count. God’s promise to make him king seemed null and void. “But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.” The Lord graciously directed David to pursue the raiders and recover all of their families and goods.

I come by this late evening to let you know regardless of what is going on in the world we must stand for what is right even if we have to stand alone. To be strong in the Lord we must know our own weakness. For for apart from Jesus we can do nothing. Be bless and I love you!!! JE
