“Unmerited Grace”

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Unmerited is defined as undeserving; unearned; unjust; unworthy; ineligible; unfit; unsuitable.

Grace focuses on who God is and what He is doing and takes the focus off of ourselves. We have access by faith into unmerited grace in which we stand. So to gain access to and increase in God’s unmerited grace, the key that we need to have is faith, faith to believe that we are indeed highly favored by God. Because God has placed us in Christ the Beloved, we are highly favored. Start looking at yourself in the mirror every morning and boldly declare, “Because I am in Christ, I am highly favored! So I expect good things to come my way.” Grace according to the dictionary, is the unmerited favor of God toward mankind. It is a free gift of the almighty God. Remembering that old familiar song, “Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now am found, was blind, but now I see.”

I come by this morning to let you know God is the giver and we are the receivers. In worship, God showers us with the gift of His grace and gives faith which trusts in His grace. In Ephesians 2:8-9 it says; “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Be bless and I love you!!! JE
