“We May Fall Down But We Won’t Stay Down”

Proverbs 24:16

Down is defined as descending; falling; sinking; declining; depressed; under.

We may fall down, but we don’t have to stay down. If our hope is placed firmly in God, we will find the strength in Him to get back up. God doesn’t want us to live life beaten, demoralized, and hating ourself. God loves us and He wants us to love ourself. He has faith in us and wants us to have faith in Him. He has good things planned for our life, so we can trust Him when we’re down. When we mess up or fail, we naturally to try to hide our mistakes and fix the issues ourselves. Understand this, we can’t hide nothing from God. God can clearly see the mess we’re trying to hide. We are not fooling Him. But in hiding and turning away from Him, we’re only hurting ourselves. Our greatest defeat comes when we allow our mistakes, sins or broken relationships to convince us that we might as well give up. The The steps of good man or woman are established by the Lord, and He delights in his or her way. When he or she falls, he or she will not be hurled headlong, because the Lord is the One who holds his or her hand.

I come by this evening to let you know even though we fall down we won’t stay down. Failure can be hurtful, but it can also be beneficial. Failure produces wisdom when we ask for it and maturity when we learn from it. God wants us to remember that following Him is not about avoiding failures and being perfect. It's about accepting our weaknesses and becoming more dependent on His perfect love and power at work in us. Be bless and I love you!!! JE
