“Examine Your Foundation”

Matthew 7:24-27

Examine is defined as to inspect or scrutinize carefully; check; analyze; test. 

We live in a world that can be confusing, if we allow it, it can cause us to forget who we really are. In order for us to be tested, we must face challenges and difficulties. These can break us, and the surface of our souls may crack and crumble, if our foundations of faith, our testimonies of truth are not deeply embedded within us. Examine your foundation! May sure your foundation is built on the rock. Jesus Christ, said, “He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.” But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great. Jesus Christ is the rock upon which we must build our foundation. 

I come by tonight to remind you to examine your foundation and make sure it is firm. Jesus said, “He that buildeth upon this rock shall never fall.” When we build on a firm foundation of Christ, we can withstand whatever comes our way. Examine your foundation and make sure it’s being built in Christ. Be blessed and I love you!!! JE
