“We Must Be About Our Father’s Business”

Colossians 3:23-25

Business is defined as a job; profession; work; specialty; livelihood; calling.

Every season of our life we must be about our Father’s business. Accepting our responsibility and doing our part in the “family business” it is a rite of passage that reflects maturity as a follower of Christ. Even as a boy, Jesus understood His mission on earth. When only twelve, Jesus accompanied His parents to Jerusalem for the feast of the Passover. On the return trip to Nazareth, after a day’s journey, Mary and Joseph realized that Jesus was not among the great company of travelers. They made haste and returned to the city and found Jesus in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers. Mary said to Him, “Son, why have You done this to us? Look, Your father and I have sought You anxiously.”Why did you seek Me?” Jesus asked. “Did you not know that I must be about My Father’ business?”

I come by this blessed afternoon to let you know we must be about our Father’s business at all times. Lay aside all things that keep us from the will of God. Be bless and I love you!!! JE
