“Your Actions Can Speak Louder Than Your Words”

James 1:22-25

Actions is defined as behavior; conduct; attitude; demeanor; presence; management; practice.

We can say we care, but that’s hard to believe if we are never available to help, to listen, to serve. Stop making it ALL about you. God called you to serve others not yourself. What do you think? A man had two sons. And he went to the first and said, ‘Son, go and work in the vineyard today.’ And he answered, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he changed his mind and went. And he went to the other son and said the same. And he answered, ‘I go, sir,’ but did not go. Which of the two did the will of his father?” They said, “The first.” Jesus said to them, “Truly, I say to you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes go into the kingdom of God before you. For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him. And even when you saw it, you did not afterward change your minds and believe him. In Matthew 5:37 it says; “Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil. Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad, for the tree is known by its fruit. You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil.

I come by this morning to encourage you to not only speak a word but be a doer of the word. It’s easy to talk about it but are you truly living what you’re speaking? Don’t speak about how to love if you’re not showing love. Don’t try to tell someone how to be successful if you’re not trying live it yourself. Let your actions speak for you. Be bless and I love you!!! JE
