1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Grateful is defined as to warmly or deeply appreciative of kindness or benefits received; thankful; pleasing; nice.
When we grow in the knowledge of God and our focus is on Him, we can give thanks in all things. Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for us. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever. We can give thanks in all things because thanksgiving is a response to the goodness and grace of God. God’s nature does not change based on outward circumstances. It’s difficult to be thankful when we are: Not trusting fully in God’s faithfulness, proud or arrogant, anxious, discontented, focus only on the negative, jealous or envious of others and holding on to anger or bitterness. Thankfulness is one of the ways to measure your spiritual health. It’s an indicator of how much we know God. It can reveal how much we are trusting in Him. In this world, it’s easy to take things for granted. We need to remember to give thanks in every circumstance. When we give thanks, it aligns us with God’s goodness, opens us up to receive more from Him, and frees us from anxiety and worry. Today and everyday I’m thankful for God, who is the head of my life. I’m thankful God gave me the opportunity to see another day. I’m thankful for life, health and strength. I’m thankful for my husband, Vincent Sr. and my son, Vincent II. I’m thankful for my entire family. I’m thankful for my GO Ministry and my GO Ministry family. I’m thankful for everyone connected to us. I’m thankful for my friends and I’m even thankful for my enemies because they let me know I’m doing right in the sight of the Lord. I’m thankful for our horses and dogs. I’m thankful for the Ponderosa. I’m thankful for everything in Jesus mighty and powerful name. Amen!!! And it so!!!
I come by this morning to say what are you thankful for today? We should be thankful not just today but everyday because God has given us another chance to get it right. We don’t always know how life will go. But we always know what God’s will for us is: It’s to give thanks in light of His goodness. Happy Thanksgiving!!! Be blessed and I love you!!! JE
Amen 🙏🏾
