“You Are Worthy To Be Used By God”

Colossians 1:12

Worthy is defined as having adequate or great merit, character, or value; honorable; respectable; trustworthy.

To walk worthy, one must first understand and appreciate the great price God paid to redeem us. To God, our worth is beyond the wealth this world contains. Our redemption cost God His greatest treasure in heaven. The price He paid is indicative of how He sees us, with great value. The world may not attach much value to us. However, when we know our worth in God’s eyes, we will see ourselves differently. It will be reflected in how we live our life. Paul didn’t identify with being a prisoner of Rome. He saw himself as a prisoner of the Lord. He was locked in God’s kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy. Paul walked worthy of the Lord by knowing whose prisoner he really was. His joy was made full because it wasn’t based on external things but on the spiritual reality of who He was in Christ. God doesn’t value us based on our works. He does not determine our worth by what we do or don’t do. He does so according to our trust in what Jesus accomplished for us. He made us worthy.

I come by this morning to let you know we must know our worth. The Lord loved us through our worst times, our humiliations, and failures. Jesus loved us greater than we could ever love ourselves. He accepted us just as we were, flawed and broken, and loved us despite and because of it. You are worthy enough to be used by God. Be bless and I love you!!! JE
