“Entangled In What Use To Be”

1 Peter 2:15-16

Entangled is defined as involved; mixed up; confused; compromised.

We must not be entangled with the cares of this world. Have you ever seen a bug caught in a spider’s web? The more that bug struggles to become free, the more entangled in the web it becomes. When a person is trapped by his or her sin, and comes to their senses and recognizes the need to change, they cannot escape by their own strength. They just become more tangled. We can all be free from bondage by admitting our sin to God and giving Him control of our life through Jesus Christ. Only He can untangle us from the tangled web of sin that we weave. Your past circumstances can’t be changed, but you can change. The consequences of past choices can be used for the glory of God when you ask Him to transform your mind and heart. In fact, your difficult past might be the very tool God uses to help you encourage others not to walk your painful journey. Jesus told the demon-possessed man, restored to his right mind by the Savior, to tell people what God had done for him. God wants to use the story of your painful past and your redeemed life for His glory.

I come by this evening to let you know it’s time to let go of your entanglement of your past and move forward in Christ. God’s forgiveness changes everything. Be blessed and I love you!!! JE
