Deuteronomy 5:32
Compromise is defined as to settle; agree; negotiate; adjust; find happy medium.
God does not condone compromising His commands. King Jehoshaphat foolishly entered a compromising situation with the wicked King Ahab, and it almost cost him his life. You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols.” There are certain lines that should not be crossed and there are times when compromise becomes evil. We can compromise on preferences but not on principles. To avoid spiritual compromise, God’s people need strong leaders who do not compromise the truth, who pray selflessly and who exercise necessary spiritual discipline. God’s glory should drive our prayers, especially when we’re concerned about His people who have fallen into sin or compromise with the world. Strong leaders pray that God’s people will be established. Moses’ prayer was after God told him what the people had done, but before he went down and saw it for himself. After he saw how bad things really were, he went back up the mountain to see if he could make atonement for their sin. He then prayed. Alas, this people has committed a great sin, and they have made a god of gold for themselves. But now, if You will, forgive their sin and if not, please blot me out from Your book which You have written.
I come by this morning to let you know we must be about our Father’s business and stop compromising to the ways of world. All this pretending to be about God’s business is over with. Turn from your selfish wicked ways now or suffer the consequences. Warning!!! They will not go unpunished in this season. Exposure is here! Get it right now before it’s too late.
