Galatians 5:22-26
Accountable is defined as subject to the obligation to report, explain, or justify something; responsible; answerable; liable; charged with.
The word teaches that we will be held accountable before God and that we are meant as brothers and sisters in Christ to hold each other accountable on earth for our words and actions. Being accountable means being willing to explain your actions with honesty and openness. We will one day stand before God and will be held accountable for how we lived. Pride and temptation can keep us from seeing the truth. The more knowledge you have of God’s will, the more you are accountable for doing it. What we do in the name of Christ must be done along with Christ. Without Christ we are only doing religious things for our own benefit. But with Christ present in us, we are being Christ-like people for the glory of God. Too many are getting away with drifting away. We’re not doing a good job of keeping each other accountable for actions. Through accountability we can know the difference between sowing from the flesh and sowing from the Spirit. A lot of people have just decided they’re going do whatever they want in the world, regardless and don’t want to be held accountable for anything. As soon as something goes wrong they want to be back doing God’s will, I call it pimping God. God is sick of this and in this season everyone will be held accountable. Things will be uncovered, exposed and dealt with immediately. It’s time you truly walk in the will of God and stop pretending. You might be lying to the people but God knows all and see all and it shall be brought to the light immediately.
I come by tonight to let you know we all are held accountable for what we do as an individual. Accountability is a life-time commitment. There is no stopping until the Lord calls us home. There is no retirement age in ministry. Death is the only thing that gives us permission to quit. Will you be accountable to the spirit or will you allow the world to give you a one way ticket to hell? Your choice. Be bless and I love you!!! JE
Amen. This is food for thought. Thank you for this timely word.
